About
Cydney Hurston Dupree is an Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior at University College London’s School of Management. Before arriving at UCL, she served on the faculty at Yale University. Dupree was trained as a social psychologist at Princeton University, where she earned her PhD in psychology and social policy. Previously, she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology (with honors) from Brown University.
In recognition of her contributions, Dupree has been named a ‘‘Rising Star’’ by the American Psychological Society and was selected for the SAGE Early Career Trajectory Award by the Society for Personality and Social Psychology.
Her research has been published in leading academic journals, including Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, Nature Human Behavior, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and Administrative Science Quarterly. Her research and writing has appeared in several leading media outlets, including The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and NPR.
Dr. Dupree grew up in the Washington D.C. area and now lives in London, England. In her free time, she unwinds with a good book, the occasional dose of reality TV, and regular outings with friends.
